Description

Quality of family relationships in the family of origin in terms of communication (e.g., getting along well with family members) and closeness among family members (e.g., being affectionate with family members).

Sample Items

  • I felt like I fit in with my family.
  • Family members knew what I thought and how I felt about things.
  • I got along well with my family members.

Response Format

5-point Likert (1 = Strongly disagree; 5 = Strongly agree)

Measure availability: Information on measures is available to everyone. However, the assessment tools themselves can only be distributed to qualified mental health professionals and researchers. We maintain measures developed by affiliated staff of the National Center for PTSD.
