PTSD 101 Presenter: Craig Rosen, PhD PTSD 101 Presenter: Craig Rosen, PhDNational Center For PTSD ![]() Dr. Craig Rosen is the Associate Director of the Dissemination and Training Division of the National Center for PTSD. He is a clinical psychologist specializing in psychosocial treatment of PTSD and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also Director of the Methodology and Evaluation Core of the VA Sierra-Pacific Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC). Dr. Rosen's primary research interest is evaluating and improving VA services to aid recovery of Veterans with posttraumatic stress. One aspect of his work is enhancing patient motivation for change, including his work with Dr. Ronald Murphy on interventions to help trauma survivors to learn and use more adoptive coping strategies. He is also interested in facilitating clinicians' readiness to implement new evidence-based treatment practices and in evaluating innovative uses of telecommunications technologies in mental health care, such as psychotherapy by video teleconferencing, and monitoring of patients' progress via the Internet.
