Introducing the Feelings Monitoring Form > Feelings Monitoring Form

Ask your clients to think of a five minute period of time during which they recently experienced strong feelings. Have your clients complete the Feelings Monitoring Form using one or more of these instances. Stress the importance of labeling the intensity of the feelings and discuss why it is important. Your clients may need assistance in identifying the automatic thoughts which accelerated the feeling. Explore the link between thoughts and feelings to differentiate them from one another.
