- Depression - feeling sad, down, or blue most of the time.
- Anxious - nervous or tense; being alert to danger most of the time.
- Startling easily in response to loud or unexpected noises.
- Thinking about the trauma when you don’t want to.
- Misuse of alcohol, street drugs, or prescription medicine to cope.
- Anger and aggressive/violent behavior.
- Reckless and aggressive driving.
- Sleep disturbances such as insomnia, nightmares.
- Withdrawing from friends and family; avoiding conversations about your experience.
- Changes in appetite, or gaining/losing a lot of weight.
- Having thoughts or talking about suicide, hurting, or killing someone else.
- Having trouble working or meeting daily responsibilities.
