There are many positive rewards that are likely to increase healthy behaviors. They do not need to be big, expensive, or time consuming. Positive rewards can be something small. They include praise, a hug or kiss, or sharing a special activity together. To simply recognize and acknowledge a healthy behavior may be enough.

There is a large range of possible positive rewards but they are all likely to increase a behavior when given consistently.
