Description
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy used to effectively treat PTSD. Recent research findings inform our understanding of predictors of outcomes, treatment of comorbidities, alternative delivery methods and effectiveness of CPT in international samples. CPT clinical practice recommendations incorporate these findings.
This online course provides mental health clinicians with updated knowledge of the research evidence supporting CPT. The authors discuss clinical practice developments to enhance implementation of CPT. The discussion draws from the 2nd Edition of the CPT manual, which emphasizes developing a strong understanding of CPT case conceptualization, along with CPT-specific strategies to address engagement. Clinicians will learn to better address individual concerns to delivering effective CPT for a wide range of patients.
