In Response to the CT School Shooting 2012 Response to CT School Shooting 2012Here are the main resources that the VA National Center for PTSD has pulled together in response to the CT school shooting. Together with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, we have completed and posted a school version of the Psychological First Aid Manual, included in the resources below. Resources for Survivors and the PublicLists the National Child Traumatic Stress Network website and direct link to Psychological First Aid for Schools (also outlined below in this message) as well as other helpful handouts. Psychological First Aid for Schools (PFA-S)For school staff, this guide is an evidence-informed approach for aiding children, teens, adults, and families in the aftermath of a school crisis, disaster, or terrorism event.
