For issues with courses in EES, contact eeswbthelp@va.gov. AccreditationThe Department of Veterans Affairs, Employee Education System (VA-EES) is responsible for the accreditation for PTSD 101. VA-EES has worked closely with the following accrediting bodies to offer Continuing Education credits for PTSD 101. See the course brochure for details about accreditation for each module. American Medical AssociationThe VA Employee Education System is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)The VA Employee Education System is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN)The VA Employee Education System is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the California Board of Registered Nursing. American Psychological Association (APA)The VA Employee Education System (EES) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Employee Education System maintains responsibility for each program and its content. Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education (ACPE)The VA Employee Education System (EES) is approved by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education to provide continuing education for pharmacists. Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)VA Employee Education System, Provider Number 1040, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), (1-800-225-6880) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. VA Employee Education System maintains responsibility for the program. National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)The VA Employee Education System is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPTM) Provider #5927 and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program to offer continuing education accreditation for National Certified and Licensed Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. This program is approved for 1 clock hour. NOTE: VA's Employee Education System (EES) has content experts regularly review each course. After review, each course is assigned a new course number and each brochure is revised. See course brochure for specific CE credit information. Common QuestionsHow do I get Continuing Education credits for the courses I take?For continuing education credit for each module, you must (1) read the module's program brochure (2) complete the module, and (3) register on one of two websites. (See above.) After logging on and registering, complete the post test and evaluation. If you receive a test score of no lower than 80%, you may print a certificate of completion. If necessary, you may retake the test. Are there any fees to take the courses, or for obtaining the Continuing Education Credits?No, there is no fee to take any of the courses, and there is no fee for providing you with the Continuing Education credits. Do I have to be a Department of Veterans Affairs employee in order to view the courses and obtain Continuing Education credits?No, you do not need to be a Department of Veterans Affairs employee to view the courses. However, the courses are meant for viewing by medical and mental health professionals and for others who provide services to traumatized populations. I am not a Department of Veterans Affairs employee, is there a fee to receive Continuing Education credits?No, there is no fee. The courses are made available at no cost to you by the Department of Veterans Affairs-Employee Education System.
