Veterans and Service members may turn to alcohol to cope with stress, trouble sleeping and other challenges. VetChange offers proven self-help tools that build skills to help you stop or cut back on problem drinking.

VetChange is a completely confidential way for you to:

  • Decide if it's time to change your drinking
  • Set personal goals to stop or cut back on drinking
  • Track your progress and stay motivated with daily feedback
  • Educate yourself about common situations that trigger drinking
  • Learn how to cope with stress, sleep problems, anger, and other feelings

Set the goals that are right for you. Work at your own pace. Get video guidance and tips from experienced therapists who work with Veterans and Service members every day.

Not a Veteran or Service member? VetChange can still help you take control of your drinking and PTSD symptoms.

Unhealthy Alcohol Use and PTSD

Unhealthy alcohol use and PTSD are mental health conditions that often require professional evaluation and treatment. VetChange is not intended to replace professional care for someone who has PTSD or who would benefit from counseling. Please tell your health care provider if you are using the program while you are in counseling.

How to Use VetChange

Start by registering and creating a personal account. You'll need to answer a few questions so we can customize your account for you. Your personal information is strictly confidential and won't be shared with VA or the military.
