Eric Elbogen, PhD, ABPP (Forensic)

Biography

Eric Elbogen, PhD, ABPP (Forensic) is the Local Recovery Coordinator of the Durham VA Health Care System and is Professor of Psychiatry at Duke University.

He is board-certified in forensic psychology, conducting empirical research at the intersection of law and mental health services, with a specific focus on military Veterans.

Dr. Elbogen is Principal Investigator of NIH and DOD funded research examining the effects of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) on post-deployment adjustment among Iraq/Afghanistan Veterans, specifically violence, aggression, criminal justice involvement, and alcohol abuse.
