Unhealthy Alcohol Use and PTSD

Unhealthy alcohol use and PTSD are mental health conditions that often require professional evaluation and treatment. VetChange is not intended to replace professional care for someone who has PTSD or who would benefit from counseling. Please tell your health care provider if you are using the program while you are in counseling.

How to Use VetChange

VetChange can be used as a stand-alone education and self-care tool, or as a supplement to professional mental health care. Use the Drink Log to set goals to reduce drinking and track drinks each day. Use coping tools to manage the urge to drink. Track your progress and PTSD symptoms over time. The app can also help you create your own personal support network.
