Biography

Nancy Bernardy, PhD, is the Associate Director of Clinical Networking and a clinical research psychologist at the Executive Division of the National Center for PTSD. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

She received her PhD in biological psychology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1995 and then respecialized in clinical psychology at Yale University.

Dr. Bernardy serves as the Director of VA's PTSD Mentoring Program which shares best administrative practices in PTSD specialty clinics to improve the delivery of quality PTSD care for Veterans across the country. She is a funded VA Mental Health Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI) researcher and her work has focused on improvement of the quality of treatment of Veterans with PTSD in VA through appropriate prescribing of medications and access to evidence-based psychotherapies.
