Sara Landes, PhD

Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System


Sara J. Landes received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

She is a psychologist and researcher at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). At UAMS, she is an investigator in the Center for Implementation Research. She is also currently working as an implementation science consultant for VA Mental Health Services.

Sara's clinical expertise is in treating suicide and self-harm behaviors, specifically with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Her research interests are in the dissemination and implementation of empirically supported mental health treatments, with a focus on DBT and larger health care systems.

She has received research funding from the National Institutes of Mental Health and the Department of Defense.
