There are a number of useful mobile apps and online tools to help you manage stress and avoid burnout. These tools offer self-assessment measures so that you can monitor your well-being over time.

Mindfulness Coach

VA is not responsible for the content of the linked site.supports the practice of Mindfulness, which has been shown to be helpful for reducing stress and coping with unpleasant thoughts and emotions. The app contains a structured Mindfulness Training Plan, along with a variety of standalone Mindfulness exercises. The app also offers strategies to help overcome challenges to mindfulness practice, reminders, exercises, and a log to track your progress.

PTSD Coach

The PTSD Coach mobile app offers self-help strategies to manage PTSD or STS symptoms and quick access to support resources. PTSD Coach Online can help anyone with stress or STS symptoms work in a more in-depth way with "big picture" issues - like understanding your values and goals, or problem solving. Inspired by the PTSD Coach mobile app, PTSD Coach Online is used on a computer, so it is able to incorporate video content and tools that involve writing.

Moving Forward

Moving Forward online course includes tools to teach problem solving skills to overcome obstacles and deal with stress. Moving Forward is especially helpful in managing challenges such as: balancing school and family life, financial difficulties, relationship problems, difficult career decisions, and coping with physical injuries.
